Custom Revit Family Development

Original Revit families built from your requirements, for manufacturers, design teams, contractors, and specialty equipment companies. Every family is defined, developed, tested, and delivered through a clear process.

What we build

Family types we develop

We create original content to your specification rather than adapting generic downloads.

Parametric families

Families driven by well-organized parameters, formulas, and type catalogs, so a single family adapts to real design conditions instead of multiplying into dozens of near-duplicates.

Manufacturer BIM content

Product families modeled from your product data, carrying the specification parameters you define and built to behave predictably in a project model.

Equipment families

Custom specialty and MEP equipment families, with connectors, clearance zones, and levels of detail included as each project requires.

Precast components

Panels, beams, columns, and connection components modeled from your design data, with parameters aligned to how precast work is detailed and tracked.

What makes a family intelligent

Designed for real-world workflows

A family is only useful if it behaves predictably in a live project. We build for the way content is placed, edited, scheduled, and documented.

Parameters that mean something

Parameters are named, grouped, and constrained so users can find what to change and trust what they see in schedules.

Geometry that flexes cleanly

A disciplined reference-plane and constraint framework lets the family adjust reliably across its specified range.

Appropriate level of detail

Coarse, medium, and fine representations are planned so the model stays responsive and drawings stay legible.

Data for downstream use

Where a project calls for it, identity data, classification fields, and shared parameters can be set up to support specifications, takeoff, and coordination.

Our process

Requirements, development, testing, delivery

Each engagement follows the same four stages, so scope, expectations, and acceptance criteria are clear from the start.

  1. Requirements definition

We confirm the scope, source information, target Revit version, parameter needs, level of detail, and how the family will be used before any modeling begins.

  2. Original development

Each family is built from your requirements and source data, with a clean reference-plane framework, consistent naming, and organized parameters.

  3. Testing

Before delivery, each family is flexed across its specified parameter ranges and reviewed in the views, schedules, and tags defined in the project scope.

  4. Delivery

You receive the agreed files with notes on parameters and intended use, plus a review step, defined in your quote, for adjustments within the agreed scope.

Pricing

Quote-based pricing

No two families carry the same complexity, so we do not publish fixed prices. After reviewing your requirements, we provide a written quote that defines the scope, deliverables, review steps, and schedule.

What affects a quote

  • Number of families and types
  • Geometric complexity and level of detail
  • Parametric behavior, formulas, and nested components
  • Data, shared-parameter, and scheduling requirements
  • Quality of available source information
  • Timeline

What to have ready

The more of this you can share, the faster and more accurate the quote.

  • Product drawings, cut sheets, or CAD/3D source files
  • Required sizes, types, options, and parameter ranges
  • Target Revit version and any template or naming standards
  • How the family will be used: design, coordination, fabrication, or documentation
  • Number of families and your preferred schedule
